In the diocese St. Luke, Cleveland, was established as St. Albans Mission by the Rt. Rev. Charles T. Quintard, the second bishop of Tennessee in 1867. It was a small but active mission until the accidental death of seven-year-old Nina Craigmiles became the catalyst for new building and growth. St. Paul, Kingsport, has added a parish nurse to its staff. "We're one of the first churches in the diocese to take this step," said the Rev. Dan Matthews, rector. |
