came for fellowship and for worship.

Youth
Sunday Coincides With Bishop’s Annual Visitation
Not only
did the youth serve as they usually do, as acolytes, but also
as ushers, greeters, lectors and chalice bearers. One was the
officiant, another set the altar for the Eucharist. Bishop vonRosenberg
preached and celebrated the Eucharist.

Huckabay
Honored by the University of the South
The Rev.
Hunter Huckabay, rector of St. Pauls, Chattanooga, received
an honorary doctoral degree from The University of the South
in January. Full Article
St. John’s
Mission, Battle Creek
The
preaching station at Battle Creek was established in 1908 by
the brothers of the Order of the Holy Cross. The stone church
was constructed in 1934. It remained a fellowship until Feb.
12 of this year when it was granted mission status at the Sixteenth
Annual Convention of the Diocese of East Tennessee. St. Johns
Mission was accepted by unanimous vote of the delegates and
delegates from the mission were seated at the convention.
