ECW's Mollie Tucker Scholarship
Fund Reaches Longtime Goal

Mollie Tucker served as Treasurer and President of the Diocese of Tennessee before the three-way split. Those who knew Mollie remember her love for the Church, her delight in service, and her ability to see Christ in everyone she met. The Episcopal Church Women established the Scholarship Fund in her memory to honor her years of service to ECW. Since 1988, twenty-one women in the Diocese have been awarded Mollie Tucker Scholarships.

This year, thanks to an especially generous, anonymous gift, the ECW has been able to realize a long term goal for the Scholarship Fund -- an account with the Episcopal Endowment Corporation. The interest and any surplus funds (after the yearly award) will be re-invested in the Endowment in order to grow the principal.

Over the years, ECW branches as well as individuals have been faithful supporters of the Scholarship Fund. This year, to demonstrate our thanks for all gifts to the Scholarship Fund, the ECW of the Diocese of East Tennessee invites ECW branches, parishes and individuals to remember Mollie on June 1 (her birth date) with a contribution to the Scholarship Fund.
