How to Use the CMT Video Resource Program
Who can rent the videos from the CMT Video Resource Program?
Video tapes may be checked out by any authorized person in any of our
congregations.
How do we reserve a video?
Videos are rented on a reservation basis. You may reserve videos for specific
dates on a first come first serve basis by phone, mail, fax or eMail.
(See below for business hours and contact numbers) CMT will ship by United
Parcel Service to arrive by the business day before scheduled use. When
you contact CMT Video Resource Program to reserve a video: state your
intent to rent to the account of the Diocese of East Tennessee; give your
name and title; the date you want to use the video; the category code;
the ID number of the video and the title. You may also call and ask for
assistance in selecting the appropriate video for your program.
How much does it cost?
The congregation pays no rental fee; the cost is covered by the Diocese.
The congregation is responsible for the return postage and any late fees.
Shipping fees are based on UPS zone rates. The congregation is responsible
for damage and/or loss of videos while in its possession.
Is there a time limit for the rental of videos?
The loan will be for a specified, and prearranged, period. You are responsible
for returning rewound videos promptly at the end of the scheduled period.
The scheduled return date is the date you mail the tape(s) or place the
tape(s) with a common carrier for return shipment. Videos may always be
returned before the due date. The congregation is responsible for any
late fees and the leadership must agree to this policy before you begin
to rent videos from the CMT Video Resource Program.
What are the restrictions?
A congregation may use CMT videos only for its in-house education programs,
or planning for such programs. You may not charge admission, nor request
a donation, for any program which uses CMT video resources. You must abide
by the copyright restrictions on all video materials.
Media Assistant Robert Owens will assist you in your selection if needed.
