Stewardship Conference
Set for March 31, 2001

Tom Gossen, Executive Director for the Episcopal Network for Stewardship since 1995, and Charles Gearing, Director of Diocesan Planned Giving Programs for the Episcopal Church Foundation, will present workshops in their respective areas.

Annual ECW Spring
Conference Set for April

As always, a highlight will be the unique experience of being able to "grill" bishops from all Tennessee dioceses about absolutely anything. Always an enjoyable and informative session sprinkled throughout with humor; it affords real insight into the personalities of each bishop and the views of all on any subject whatsoever. No one has ever ducked a question.

St. Martin’s Spring Extravaganza
St. Martin’s, Chattanooga, ECW is sponsoring a Spring Extravaganza. It will be held on Friday April 6th from 12-8pm and Saturday April 7th from 9am-4pm. Come and see what the vendors have to sell. Be sure to save room for bake sale goodies. If you are an artist or artisan with works to sell, the ECW would love to showcase your work.

Organ Concert at Christ Church
Organist John Brock, Professor of Music at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will present a concert at Christ Church Chattanooga, 663 Douglas Street, Sunday, March 11 at 4:00 p.m. on the Richards, Fowkes tracker organ.

This concert is presented by the Christ Church Centennial Concert Series. A reception will follow the concert in Fox Hall. For more information call 266-4263.

Annual Spaghetti Luncheon in Athens
St. Paul’s, Athens, will have its famous Annual Spaghetti Luncheon March 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event has the two-fold purpose of raising funds for community outreach projects and inviting the community into the church.

The entire membership is involved in preparation for the luncheon. There will be eat-in, drive-thru, carry-out, and some delivery (for larger orders). Everyone is selling tickets and each parish family is asked to prepare desserts for the luncheon and for the Bake Sale Table.

The luncheon has become a highly anticipated event in Athens with as many as 300 people eating the traditionally-prepared recipes. (Handy suggestions and recipes for the luncheon have been handed down on 3 x 5 cards dating from the 1950s.)
