Bookshop Turns Page, New Manager Named

There is a bright new face in the Cathedral Bookshop located at the Diocesan House. And Amy Hodges Morehous is the name that belongs to the face.

Morehous became the new manager of the bookshop earlier this year when the previous manager, Georgia Knazovich, moved to New Mexico where her husband had accepted a new position.

Morehous is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Literature and Religious Studies. With a background in both retail and writing, she is well qualified and extremely interested in the operation of the Bookshop.

A member of Church of the Ascension, Morehous and husband David sing in the parish choir.

In addition to her work for the Diocese, Morehous is an advisor to a UT sorority and a national consultant to other chapters. She also serves as Public Relations chairperson of the House and Garden Show for Knoxville’s Dogwood Arts Festival.

In her spare time Morehous enjoys “reading, swimming, reading, movies, and perhaps a little more reading -- particularly mysteries.”

Morehous brings an enthusiasm for books and for people to the Bookshop which is open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Access to the Bookshop is also available on the web at www.cathedralbookshop.com.
