Have You Visited
Our National Cathedral? by Annie vonRosenberg The Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul is located on Mount Saint Alban in Washington, D.C., which is one of the highest points in the city. The Cathedral stands on fifty-seven acres of grounds called the close. Did you know that National Cathedral had Tennessee day this spring? Each state is represented at a wonderful service one Sunday with full choir from that state along with House and Senate Representatives reading the lessons. Bishop vonRosenberg celebrated Eucharist at the Tennessee Day in 2001. It was a great day for our diocese, the state of Tennessee, and the Church. For the next Tennessee Day we need to get a bus or maybe even several buses and go to Washington and see all there is to see. Unfortunately, the next date for Tennessee is not for a few years. We will let you know the exact date in plenty of time to include it in your schedule. There will be a booth at the Diocesan Convention in February for the National Cathedral. Come by and see us. We can talk about all the things available to you and your groups. Look for Anne Sprouse, Ginny Rogers and Annie vonRosenbergWell be there and look forward to sharing information with you. If you would llike to talk to us sooner than the convention or you can not attend the convention, call us at 865-521-2900. Cant wait to hear from you!!
