ECW Remembers Mollie Tucker

June first marked the third annual Mollie Tucker Recognition Day! Mollie Tucker served as Episcopal Church Women (ECW) treasurer and president of the Diocese of Tennessee, before the diocese became three. Those who knew Mollie remember her love for the Church, her delight in service and her ability to see Christ in everyone she met. The ECW established a scholarship in her memory to honor her years of service to the ECW. Since 1988, twenty-three women in the Diocese have been awarded Mollie Tucker Scholarships.

Over the years ECW branches, as well as individuals, have been faithful supporters of the scholarship fund. This year, to demonstrate our thanks for all gifts to the fund, the ECW of the Diocese of East Tennessee invites all ECW branches, parishes and individuals to remember Mollie Tucker on June 1, (her birth date) with a contribution to the Mollie Tucker Scholarship Fund.
