Episcopal Church Women gather
for Triennial meeting

In the Triennial Meeting that ran concurrently with Convention, more than 450 Episcopal Church Women from across the nation gathered for worship each day with Convention-goers, concentrated on Spiritual Work in the first half of the event and on Spiritual Learning in the latter half.

Plenary action included the election of a new board with Kay Meyer of Georgia as the Province IV representative, newsletter and Web site awards and a granting session for the United Thank Offering.

During Sunday’s Convention Eucharist, Katie Piper, the East Tennessee UTO coordinator, and diocesan representatives from across the church presented each diocesan UTO offering to Presiding Bishop Frank T. Griswold in the annual UTO Ingathering. In other diocesan news, Nancy Tanner was named an ECW Honored Woman for her dedicated work on behalf of the ECW.

In the Spiritual Learning portion of the event, women selected from a series of more than 80 educational workshops.
