St. Paul-Chattanooga Senior Warden Doug Dooley delivered a check for $100,000 to Bishop vonRosenberg at the diocesan convention. “Right Reverend Sir, delegates, clergy, convention attendees; I am Doug Dooley, senior warden at St. Paul’s in Chattanooga. “This is the awareness phase, and we’re here to make you aware of a development. We’re proud to have you all attending this convention in our city. We’re especially pleased to have you share part of our sesquicentennial celebration at St. Paul’s last evening. “As a parish, we fully support the Grow in Mission campaign, and by unanimous vote of the vestry of St. Paul’s-Chattanooga, we announce a pledge of $500,000 for the Grow in Mission campaign. The proceeds of our pledge are to be utilized for the erection of St. Paul’s Chapel on the lovely grounds of Grace Point Camp and Retreat for the use of all. “We could think of no better time than during the sesquicentennial celebration to make this announcement and present our first installment – may I approach the Right Reverend, sir? — of $100,000.”
