Convention receives seminarians

The diocese supports seven of these seminarians by paying their medical insurance plus $1,500; the other three seminarians have special circumstances and do not receive this financial support. After the note on Grace Point land is paid, 10 percent of the campaign’s net proceeds will go to support our seminarians:

Taylor Dinsmore is in her first year at University of the South in Sewanee, Tenn. She is a member of St. Paul in Chattanooga.

Charles Fels is a first-year seminarian at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria and is a member of Ascension in Knoxville.

Patricia Grace is from St. Paul in Kingsport. She is in her second year at VTS.

Carolyn Isley is in her first year, but because she already holds a Master of Divinity degree from a Baptist school, she is a senior at Sewanee.

Barbara Kirk-Norris is a member of Ascension in Knoxville and is a first-year seminarian at VTS.

Audrey Miskelly is in her second year at VTS; she is a member of Ascension in Knoxville.

Jim Sharp is from All Saints in Morristown and is in his third year at Sewanee.

Brad Smith is a third-year seminarian at Sewanee. He is a member of St. John’s Cathedral.

Leslie St. Louis is a second-year seminarian at Sewanee. She is originally from Phoenix, Ariz.

Bo Townsend is a member of St. John’s Cathedral in Knoxville and is in his third year at the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas.
